Report the Risk
Is designed to support members to identify and report unsafe practices, staffing issues, security concerns, and operational risks that impact the safety of staff, prisoners and the wider public. Every reported risk helps build a clearer picture of the challenges facing our prisons and supports action to address them.
Public Risk on Release
Highlights the consequences of underperforming prison systems. When prisoners are unable to access rehabilitation, education, training, and meaningful interventions due to staffing shortages, restricted regimes, operational failures, they are often released without the changes needed to reduce reoffending. This campaign focuses on the connection between prison performance and the direct public risk this is creating.
Together, these campaigns reinforce a simple message: identifying and addressing risks inside our prisons is essential to protecting staff, improving rehabilitation outcomes, and reducing the risks faced by the public when prisoners are released.
